Portland Builders has just begun the re-purposing of Saint James Convent ” Mother House” in Portland Maine. We are currently removing all the interior trim and cataloging for re-installation on new insulated walls . When complete it will provide 89 affordable Senior Apts. The chapel with vaulted hand painted Frescos will remain untouched as well as the pipe organ ( works!) We would be glad to forward you photos if you are interested This is our 12th National Park Service Historic Rehabilitation .
