Grant Romer, world-renowned photography authority and former Director of Conservation for the International Museum of Photography at the George Eastman House in Rochester, New York. This is from a lecture on daguerreotype at the High Museum in Atlanta. He is a wonderful lecturer. This hints at the types of public lectures that were the primary form of entertainment for people in the 1800s–before radio, TV, etc.
