chicken house.
faces the sun, other side has vents for when necessary, turbines on the roof, no extra doors, no need for bringing in or out large stuff or heavy equipment.
Not in use – paint peeling. Roof pitch c.1950’s when many VT farms had many chickens, near-by building is more recent with 5/12 pitch. Hard to reuse these coops.
in a field with some other utility buildings and farm fencing near by – no worn road way or electrical service
I don’t think chicken houses have windows; they would be ventilated on all sides, and would be one story. it appears that this is a sugar house for making syrup in the Spring?
I hate to disappoint you all, but it is not a chicken house. That was, however, my first guess. Nor is it a sugar house. On those notes, try again and I’ll post the answer this week.

Wow Jane – either you’re very familiar with the farming life, or you’re one of the best detectives I’ve run across in a while. I’m impressed.
