But I’m curious about the whole building. without a photo of the whole I can’t say if the window is original to this ‘house’. The modern bays, double/hungs and the hatch surely speak to frequent remodelings. Very simple eaves – might be a remodeled barn/carriage house…. with beloved parts added.
I’d date the window to either Federal or ‘turn of the century’ depending on muntin and sash profile!
It’s a gable window, and it looks like the two halves were Gothic transom windows either in a different location on this renovated building, or in another building.
I didn’t think the bar between the halve was thick enough to be 2 pieces…. but I’ve see Gothic half windows like that so it makes sense… waiting for the answer!

Certainly is funky! I like Paula’s theory of two Gothic windows pieced together. What about the diminutive hay door below??
