As a Richmond resident, most of us love our truss bridge in the center of town! The discussion about color was a community wide conversation and not everyone agreed, as you can imagine. It came down to a straw poll, and the vast majority was red, based on a bridge rehab project in Oregon (or Washington??). We think this bridge and our Pennsylvania Truss bridge that is currently being widened (the Checkered House Bridge subject of one of Kaitlin’s earlier blogs) will put Richmond on the map!
