Plaster scored to look like tile? The bathroom in my c 1915 home has a wall that looks very similar.
I’m going to call it cinder blocks. Typically used in unattractive schools built from 1950 forward.
I assume it’s not concrete or cinder block, so I’m going to go with Frank’s answer.
you are all doing well with answers. I apologize for the poorly lit photo (I swear it was lighter on my phone) and for the lack of scale. To answer that question, it is much smaller than a cinder block.
