Say hello to Izzy again. This time she’s back, not studying, but hanging out on vacation in full blown flamingo fun. (Readers, I hope you enjoy these kitten posts as a preservation break.)
*Disclaimer: I did not buy this, but obviously someone who loves me did.
This is too perfect. I’m happy for Izzy.
Do you remember where you got this toy? My cat loves this toy but it’s getting really ratty looking.
We found it at a grocery store around here called Shaw’s (same as Star or Osco), but haven’t seen one in a while. I’ll let you know if we find another one. Izzy’s are looking pretty bad as well.
My cat Little Miss is obsessed with this SAME exact toy. I used to get them at Market Basket, but they’ve since sold out, or have stoppped selling them! Where can I find one!? Her recent one is destroyed and needs to be replaced. I know they have blue flamingos too, and she likes that one as well. Either would be fine. I’m just trying desparately to get my hands on a few of these!!!
I haven’t seen them in a while — I think we found them at one of the supermarkets, but maybe a pet store would have one. I’ll keep my eyes open.
Where did you get that flamingo toy? My brother bought one for my cat several years ago and I have been looking for another one, but can’t find it to buy online or in any stores. Thanks!
She’s adorable!!
Thanks! She’s much bigger now. =)
What a great way to inject humor and kindness into a subject that can get mired in depressing “another historic treasure bites the dust” news. I’m a student in a Heritage Studies M.Ed program with a Preservation Graduate Certificate option and as much as I am passionate about saving historic structures (and particularly historic landscapes), the study can be a downer sometimes with all of the tough challenges and disappointing losses. Izzy is a happy feature of your blog and the tipping point/reason I decided to follow your blog after reading only a couple of entries.
Keep up the great work!
Thank you Melanie. I’ll check out your blog. I love Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Thank you! I’ll admit I have a rather sporadic posting history, but attempting to model myself after much more consistent bloggers such as yourself. Thanks for all that you do to keep preservation a topic of conversation and concern.
Good day I am so happy I found your website, I really found you by error,
while I was looking on Askjeeve for something else, Regardless I
am here now and would just like to say cheers for a tremendous
post and a all round interesting blog (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to read
through it all at the moment but I have bookmarked it and also added in your RSS feeds,
so when I have time I will be back to read a lot more, Please do keep up the superb b.
She is totally adorable!
Kitty posts FTW 🙂
Thank you! She’s much bigger now, but still adorable and sassy.
Any idea where I can find that flamingo toy? I need a back up
My cat, GKLove has one and I need another one for her. Flamingo is her baby, she carries it with her threw out the house. You know when she is bringing her baby with her, GK makes this awful sound(you would think she is in pain) when she is bringing baby. Flamingo sleeps with GK.
I know this is a very old post but I have been searching on and off for years to find more of these flamingo cat toys. We got them for my cats 5+ years ago and they loved it so much they destroyed them. If by some miracle you still know where I could purchase them again I would be incredibly thankful.
Izzy is adorable too
