Meet my adopted flamingo! Now Preservation in Pink actually has a real flamingo (theoretically anyway. The bird is happily living at the National Zoo, and not in my living room or backyard). The Adopt a Species program supports the care and conservation of animals at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo.  Your adoption packet arrives with a certificate, a large color photograph (see above), and information about the species.
