Preservation in Pink is now licensed under the Creative Commons License.  The goal of the Creative Commons License is:

Share, Remix, Reuse — Legally. Creative Commons provides free tools that let authors, scientists, artists, and educators easily mark their creative work with the freedoms they want it to carry. You can use CC to change your copyright terms from “All Rights Reserved” to “Some Rights Reserved.”

This is different from copyright, but establishes protocol for using information from Preservation in Pink. I have selected an attribution, noncommercial, no derivative works license. This means that:

You are free to share, copy, distribute, display, or perform the work UNDER the following conditions:

1. Attribution. You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).

2. Noncommercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes.

3. No Derivative Works. You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work.

And, for any reuse or distribution, you must make clear to others the license terms of this work. The best way to do this is with a link to this web page, http://www.preservationinpink.comAny of the above conditions can be waived if you get permission from the copyright holder (Kaitlin O’Shea).  Nothing in this license impairs or restricts the author’s moral rights.
